USAA Auto Insurance Car not Listed?
I am trying to purchase auto insurance through USAA overseas “spangdahlem germany”
on a 1997 BMW 320i that i am purchasing
I have a copy of the title and a bill of sale
when im going through the menu’s everything comes up fine until i get to VIN and year/make/model
the vin is not recognized and according to them there is no 320i in 97 only a 318i and a 328i
is it ok to select one of those? i called USAA and there is no one available to help international until monday
Be careful and make sure this is a legitimate deal you have entered into, because there is a 1997 320i, it exists.
Now, look carefully at the VIN. The letter “O” does not appear in a VIN, make sure you enter “0″ zero. There is also no “I’, that is “1″
But no, I would not enter any information that doesn’t match, that would just insurance a good excuse to not cover in a time of need.
